VENICEVILLAS GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the Guest (hereinafter, the "Client") and Venicevillas (hereinafter, the "Company") for bookings and payments of the accommodation listed on the website venicevillas.it (hereinafter, the "Site"). These conditions form an integral part of the rental contract stipulated between the Company, which acts in the name and on behalf of the owners of the properties, and the Client. These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to bookings made directly through the Site. For bookings made on external platforms (e.g. Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, VRBO), the Client is invited to refer to the specific terms and conditions provided by the respective platform.
Confirming a booking through the Website implies automatic acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and of any further specifications for the stay (such as duration, price, applicable taxes, applicable regulations). The Company reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, it being understood that the changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.
Booking Modalities
By accessing the Website, the Client can view real-time availability and prices of accommodation managed by the Company or its Partners. To confirm a reservation, the Client must follow the instructions for payment by credit card. Confirmation of the reservation will be sent by e-mail only after successful payment and will contain details of the amount paid, length of stay, number of guests and any additional services.
Rates and Payments
The price for rentals of less than 30 days, specified in the Order Summary, includes electricity, gas, heating and water consumption. Visitor's tax, which is not included in the rate, must be paid upon check-in in cash or by credit card. Cancellation Policies The cancellation policies provide for different rate options:
- Refundable Rate: The Client may cancel the reservation without cost up to a specified number of days prior to check-in.
- Non-Refundable Rate: The full amount of the stay will be taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Requests for changes to the reservation are subject to availability and approval by the Company, to be requested by e-mail to the official address of Venicevillas or through the customer service.
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in: The Client is required to complete the online check-in, providing his/her own and his/her companions' identity documents, and to digitally sign the rental contract. The check-in procedure will be specified in the Booking Confirmation. The Client may be welcomed at the flat or at a Welcome Point, with the presentation of documents for all guests. In the case of self check-in, the Client must upload the documents on the online check-in platform.
- Check-out: The accommodation must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Failure to return the keys will incur a penalty.
Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required by pre-authorisation on a credit or debit card. The deposit will be released within 48 hours of check-out, unless there is evidence of damage to the flat. The Company reserves the right to retain the deposit for damages or defaults and to claim compensation for any damages exceeding the value of the deposit.
Access to the Accommodation
The Company reserves the right to access the accommodation for maintenance or in case of emergency. In case of emergencies, access may take place without prior notice.
Obligations of the Client
The Client agrees to maintain the accommodation in good condition, to respect the neighbours and not to use the accommodation for illicit activities. If the keys are lost or damaged, the Client shall reimburse the replacement costs. The accommodation must only be used for the number of people indicated in the booking; otherwise, surcharges and penalties will be applied.
Smoking and Waste Disposal
Prohibition Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the accommodation. The Client is obliged to comply with local regulations for the correct disposal of waste.
Reservations Over 30 Days
For requests to stay longer than 30 days, the Client must contact the Company by email at [email protected]. The reservation will only be confirmed once the Rental Agreement has been signed and the first month's rent has been paid in advance.
Penalties and Limitation of Liability
In the event of misconduct or inappropriate behaviour, the Company reserves the right to withdraw from the contract and request the Client to leave without refund of the amount paid. The Company may retain the security deposit for any damages. The Company shall not be liable for theft, suspension or interruption of services (water, gas, electricity, internet) and shall not be liable for damages resulting from causes beyond its control. The internet service is provided for personal use and must not be used for illicit purposes; the Guest is responsible for any abuse or improper use of the connection.
Processing of Personal Data
The Client authorises the Company to process and communicate his/her personal data in accordance with D.Lgs. 196/2003 and subsequent EU Regulation 2016/679 for the purposes related to the rental contract and the performance of the booking made.
Competent Court
For any dispute arising from the General Terms and Conditions mentioned above, the Court of Venice shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
